Matt 24:1-8
1 ... Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples
came up to show Him the buildings of the temple.
2 And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly,
I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that
shall not be thrown down."
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him
privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what
will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives
you.
5 "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and
will deceive many.
6 "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are
not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end
is not yet.
7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various
places.
8 "All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Luke 21:12-19
12 "But before all these things, they will lay their hands on
you and persecute you...
13 "But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.
14 "Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand
on what you will answer;
15 "for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries
will not be able to contradict or resist.
18 "But not a hair of your head shall be lost.
19 "By your patience possess your souls.
Matt 24:10-39
10 ...many will be offended, will betray one another, and will
hate one another.
11 "Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
12 "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will
grow cold.
13 "But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the
world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
15 "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken
of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever
reads, let him understand),
16 "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
17 "Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything
out of his house.
18 "And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.
19 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing
babies in those days!
20 "And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.
21 "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not
been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor
ever shall be.
22 "And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved;
but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.
23 "Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or
'There!' do not believe it.
24 "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great
signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
25 "See, I have told you beforehand.
26 "Therefore if they say to you, 'Look, He is in the desert!'
do not go out; or 'Look, He is in the inner rooms!' do not believe
it.
27 "For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the
west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
28 "For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered
together.
29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will
be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will
fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
30 "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and
then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see
the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great
glory.
31 "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet,
and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from
one end of heaven to the other.
32 "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch
has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that
summer is near.
33 "So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is
near-- at the doors!
34 "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means
pass away till all these things take place.
35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means
pass away.
36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels
of heaven, but My Father only.
37 "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the
Son of Man be.
38 "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and
drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that
Noah entered the ark,
39 "and did not know until the flood came and took them all away,
so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Luke 17:28-37
28 ..."as it was ... in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank,
they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 "but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and
brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
30 "Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
31 "In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are
in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise
the one who is in the field, let him not turn back.
32 "Remember Lot's wife.
33 "Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses
his life will preserve it.
34 "I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed:
the one will be taken and the other will be left.
35 "Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken
and the other left.
36 "Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the
other left."
37 And they answered and said to Him, "Where, Lord?" So He said
to them, "Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered
together."
Matt 24:42-51
42 "Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is
coming.
43 "But know this, that if the master of the house had known what
hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed
his house to be broken into.
44 "Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming
at an hour you do not expect.
45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made
ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?
46 "Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will
find so doing.
47 "Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all
his goods.
48 "But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is
delaying his coming,'
49 "and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink
with the drunkards,
50 "the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not
looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,
51 "and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the
hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matt 25:31-46
31 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels
with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
32 "All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate
them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the
goats.
33 "And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats
on the left.
34 "Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come,
you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world:
35 'for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you
gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
36 'I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited
Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'
37 "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did
we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
38 'When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and
clothe You?
39 'Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
40 "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say
to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My
brethren, you did it to Me.'
41 "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from
Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil
and his angels:
42 'for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and
you gave Me no drink;
43 'I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you
did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.'
44 "Then they also will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we
see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in
prison, and did not minister to You?'
45 "Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you,
inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you
did not do it to Me.'
46 "And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the
righteous into eternal life.
Acts 2:17-21
17 '... it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that
I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your
old men shall dream dreams.
18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out
My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth
beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood,
before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
21 And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of
the Lord shall be saved.'
1Thes 4:13-18
13 ...I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those
who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no
hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God
will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who
are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means
precede those who are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout,
with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And
the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus
we shall always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
I Thes 5:1-6
1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have
no need that I should write to you.
2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so
comes as a thief in the night.
3 For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction
comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they
shall not escape.
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should
overtake you as a thief.
5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of
the night nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and
be sober.
II Th 2:8-12
8 ...the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will
consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness
of His coming.
9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of
Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,
10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish,
because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they
might be saved.
11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that
they should believe the lie,
12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth
but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
1 Tim 4:1-5
1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will
depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines
of demons,
2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared
with a hot iron,
3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which
God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe
and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused
if it is received with thanksgiving;
5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
2 Tim 3:1-5
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal,
despisers of good,
4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than
lovers of God,
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such
people turn away!
2 Pet 3:1-13
1 Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of
which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder),
2 that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before
by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles
of the Lord and Savior,
3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days,
walking according to their own lusts,
4 and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the
fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the
beginning of creation."
5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the
heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in
the water,
6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded
with water.
7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the
same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and
perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord
one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count
slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any
should perish but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night,
in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the
elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works
that are in it will be burned up.
11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner
of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because
of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the
elements will melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens
and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
Rev 1:7
7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him,
even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will
mourn because of Him...
Rev 6:12-17
12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was
a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair,
and the moon became like blood.
13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops
its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and
every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the
commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid
themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
16 and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us
from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath
of the Lamb!
17 "For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to
stand?"
Rev 7:1-4,9-17
1 After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners
of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind
should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.
2 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the
seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the
four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea,
3 saying, "Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we
have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads."
4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred
and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel
were sealed:
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which
no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues,
standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white
robes, with palm branches in their hands,
10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs
to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"
11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the
four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne
and worshiped God,
12 saying: "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving
and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever.
Amen."
13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these
arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?"
14 And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These
are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed
their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 "Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him
day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will
dwell among them.
16 "They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the
sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;
17 "for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd
them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will
wipe away every tear from their eyes."
Rev 13:11-18
11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he
had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.
12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his
presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship
the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down
from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.
14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs
which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling
those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who
was wounded by the sword and lived.
15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast,
that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many
as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and
slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark
or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the
number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number
is 666.
Rev 14:6-13
6 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having
the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth--
to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people--
7 saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give glory to Him, for
the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven
and earth, the sea and springs of water."
8 And another angel followed, saying, "Babylon is fallen, is fallen,
that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the
wine of the wrath of her fornication."
9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice,
"If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his
mark on his forehead or on his hand,
10 "he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God,
which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation.
He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence
of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
11 "And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and
they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his
image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."
12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep
the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Write: 'Blessed
are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.'" "Yes," says the
Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, and their works
follow them."
Rev 15:2-4
2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and
those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and
over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the
sea of glass, having harps of God.
3 They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song
of the Lamb, saying: "Great and marvelous are Your works, lord
God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints!
4 Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You
alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before
You, for Your judgments have been manifested."
May God bless the reading of His Word.
Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than
any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and
spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart.
