Isa 53:12
Prophecy in Isaiah
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He
shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out
His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors,
and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Luke 23:32-33,39-43 Fulfillment
in Luke
32 There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put
to death.
33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they
crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the
other on the left.
39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying,
"If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us."
40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not
even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?
41 "And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our
deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong."
42 Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into
Your kingdom."
43 And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you
will be with Me in Paradise."
Ps 69:20-21
Prophecy in the Psalms
20 Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness; I
looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters,
but I found none.
21 They also gave me gall for my food, and for my thirst they
gave me vinegar to drink.
Matt 27:33-34 Fulfillment
in Matthew
33 And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is
to say, Place of a Skull,
34 they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when
He had tasted it, He would not drink.
Ps 22:18 Prophecy
in the Psalms
18 They divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they
cast lots.
Matt 27:35-36 Fulfillment
in Matthew
35 Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting
lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet:
"They divided My garments among them, and for My clothing they
cast lots."
36 Sitting down, they kept watch over Him there.
Exod 12:21,43-47 Prophecy
from Exodus
21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to
them, "Pick out and take lambs for yourselves according to your
families, and kill the Passover lamb.
43 And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "This is the ordinance
of the Passover: No foreigner shall eat it.
44 "But every man's servant who is bought for money, when you
have circumcised him, then he may eat it.
45 "A sojourner and a hired servant shall not eat it.
46 "In one house it shall be eaten; you shall not carry any of
the flesh outside the house, nor shall you break one of its bones.
47 "All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
John 19:28-36 Fulfillment
in the book of John
28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished,
that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!"
29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they
filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to
His mouth.
30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!"
And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
31 Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies
should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath
was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be
broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and
of the other who was crucified with Him.
33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead,
they did not break His legs.
34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and
immediately blood and water came out.
35 And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true;
and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe.
36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled,
"Not one of His bones shall be broken."
Ps 34:18-20 Prophecy
from the Psalms
18 The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves
such as have a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers
him out of them all.
20 He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken.
Isa 53:5-6, 8, 10-12 Prophecy
from Isaiah
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for
our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and
by His stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one,
to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us
all.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare
His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; he has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin, he shall see His seed,
He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall
prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His
knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall
bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He
shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out
His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors,
and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
John 1:29 Fulfillment
in the book of John
29 ...John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The
Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
John 11:47-52 Fulfillment
in the book of John
47 ... the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council
and said, "What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.
48 "If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him,
and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation."
49 And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said
to them, "You know nothing at all,
50 "nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man
should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should
perish."
51 Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high
priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,
52 and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather
together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad.
Acts 10:39-43 Fulfillment
in the book of Acts
39 "And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the
land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging
on a tree.
40 "Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly,
41 "not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God,
even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the
dead.
42 "And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify
that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living
and the dead.
43 "To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever
believes in Him will receive remission of sins."
Acts 13:32-39 Fulfillment
in the book of Acts
32 "And we declare to you glad tidings-- that promise which was
made to the fathers.
33 "God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has
raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm: 'You
are My Son, today I have begotten You.'
34 "And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to
corruption, He has spoken thus: 'I will give you the sure mercies
of David.'
35 "Therefore He also says in another Psalm: 'You will not allow
Your Holy One to see corruption.'
36 "For David, after he had served his own generation by the will
of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption;
37 "but He whom God raised up saw no corruption.
38 "Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this
Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins;
39 "and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things
from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Ps 16:8-11
Prophecy from the Psalms
8 I have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right
hand I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh
also will rest in hope.
10 For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will You allow
Your Holy One to see corruption.
11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness
of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
John 2:18-22 Fulfillment
in the book of John
"What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?"
19 Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and
in three days I will raise it up."
20 Then the Jews said, "It has taken forty-six years to build
this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?"
21 But He was speaking of the temple of His body.
22 Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered
that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture
and the word which Jesus had said.
Acts 2:17-36 Fulfillment
in the book of Acts
17 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that
I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your
old men shall dream dreams.
18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out
My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth
beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood,
before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
21 And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of
the Lord shall be saved.'
22 "Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man
attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God
did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know--
23 "Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge
of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put
to death;
24 "whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because
it was not possible that He should be held by it.
25 "For David says concerning Him: 'I foresaw the Lord always
before my face, for He is at my right hand, that I may not be
shaken.
26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; moreover
my flesh also will rest in hope.
27 For You will not leave my soul in Hades, nor will You allow
Your Holy One to see corruption.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life; you will make me
full of joy in Your presence.'
29 "Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch
David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us
to this day.
30 "Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn
with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to
the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne,
31 "he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of
the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh
see corruption.
32 "This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
33 "Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having
received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured
out this which you now see and hear.
34 "For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself:
'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand,
35 Till I make Your enemies Your footstool." '
36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that
God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
Matt 28:1-20 Fulfillment
in Matthew
1 Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to
dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the
Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone
from the door, and sat on it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white
as snow.
4 And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.
5 But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid,
for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.
6 "He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the
place where the Lord lay.
7 "And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from
the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there
you will see Him. Behold, I have told you."
8 So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy,
and ran to bring His disciples word.
9 And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them,
saying, "Rejoice!" So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped
Him.
10 Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell My
brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me."
11 Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into
the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that
had happened.
12 When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together,
they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,
13 saying, "Tell them, 'His disciples came at night and stole
Him away while we slept.'
14 "And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will appease
him and make you secure."
15 So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and
this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain
which Jesus had appointed for them.
17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has
been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit,
20 "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded
you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Amen.
Ps 110:1-4 Prophecy
in the Psalms
1 The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, till I make
Your enemies Your footstool."
2 The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule
in the midst of Your enemies!
3 Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your power; in
the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, you have
the dew of Your youth.
4 The LORD has sworn and will not relent, "You are a priest forever
according to the order of Melchizedek."
Mark 16:19-20 Fulfillment
in Matthew
19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received
up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working
with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.
Luke 24:44-53 Fulfillment in Luke
44 Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to
you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled
which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the
Psalms concerning Me."
45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend
the Scriptures.
46 Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was
necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the
third day,
47 "and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached
in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 "And you are witnesses of these things.
49 "Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry
in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from
on high."
50 And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His
hands and blessed them.
51 Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted
from them and carried up into heaven.
52 And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great
joy,
53 and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God.
Amen.
Heb 13:8
Fulfillment in
Hebrews
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
May God bless
the reading of His Word.
Heb 4:12
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than
any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and
spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart.
