1 Chr 28:9
9 "... know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal
heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts
and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him,
He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast
you off forever.
Ps 17:15
15 As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be
satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.
Ps 25:8-9,12,14
8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He teaches sinners in
the way.
9 The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His
way.
12 Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall He teach in the
way He chooses.
14 The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, and He will
show them His covenant.
Exod 4:12
12 "Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach
you what you shall say."
Ps 32:8
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
Prov 1:23
23 Turn at my rebuke; surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you.
Job 32:7-9
7 ... 'Age should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.'
8 But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty
gives him understanding.
9 Great men are not always wise, nor do the aged always understand
justice.
Prov 3:5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your
own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Ps 119:130
130 The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding
to the simple.
Job 33:15-16
15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls
upon men, while slumbering on their beds,
16 Then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction.
Job 38:36-37
36 Who has put wisdom in the mind? Or who has given understanding
to the heart?
37 Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the
bottles of heaven,
Ps 16:7,11
7 I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; my heart also
instructs me in the night seasons.
11 You will show me the path of life...
Ps 119:97-105
97 Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.
98 You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies;
for they are ever with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies
are my meditation.
100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your precepts.
101 I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may
keep Your word.
102 I have not departed from Your judgments, for You Yourself
have taught me.
103 How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to
my mouth!
104 Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate
every false way.
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Prov 4:18
18 ...the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines
ever brighter unto the perfect day.
John 17:1-26
1 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said:
"Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also
may glorify You,
2 "as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should
give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.
3 "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only
true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
4 "I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work
which You have given Me to do.
5 "And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with
the glory which I had with You before the world was.
6 "I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given
Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and
they have kept Your word.
7 "Now they have known that all things which You have given Me
are from You.
8 "For I have given to them the words which You have given Me;
and they have received them, and have known surely that I came
forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me.
9 "I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those
whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.
10 "And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified
in them.
11 "Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world,
and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom
You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.
12 "While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name.
Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except
the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
13 "But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world,
that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 "I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them
because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15 "I do not pray that You should take them out of the world,
but that You should keep them from the evil one.
16 "They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17 "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
18 "As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into
the world.
19 "And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may
be sanctified by the truth.
20 "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will
believe in Me through their word;
21 "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I
in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe
that You sent Me.
22 "And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they
may be one just as We are one:
23 "I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in
one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have
loved them as You have loved Me.
24 "Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with
Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given
Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
25 "O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have
known You; and these have known that You sent Me.
26 "And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it,
that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in
them."
Rom 1:16-25
16 ... I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the
power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew
first and also for the Greek.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to
faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness
and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God
has shown it to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes
are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made,
even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as
God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and
their foolish hearts were darkened.
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image
made like corruptible man-- and birds and four-footed animals
and creeping things.
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts
of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,
25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and
served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever.
Rom 2:12-16
12 ... as many as have sinned without law will also perish without
law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the
law
13 (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God,
but the doers of the law will be justified;
14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the
things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law
to themselves,
15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their
conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their
thoughts accusing or else excusing them)
16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus
Christ, according to my gospel.
1 Cor 2:12-16
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the
Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have
been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom
teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual
things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit
of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is
rightly judged by no one.
16 For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct
Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
Gal 3:27
27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on
Christ.
Phil 2:5
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
Heb 8:8-13
8 ... "Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will
make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house
of Judah--
9 "not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers
in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the
land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and
I disregarded them, says the Lord.
10 "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of
Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in
their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their
God, and they shall be My people.
11 "None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother,
saying, 'Know the Lord,' for all shall know Me, from the least
of them to the greatest of them.
12 "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their
sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
13 In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete.
Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish
away.
I Jn 2:24-28
24 Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning.
If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will
abide in the Son and in the Father.
25 And this is the promise that He has promised us-- eternal life.
26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try
to deceive you.
27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in
you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same
anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and
is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in
Him.
28 And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears,
we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.
Eph 1:4-5,11
4 … He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that
we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to
Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined
according to the purpose of Him who works all things according
to the counsel of His will,
Eph 1:15-19
15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus
and your love for all the saints,
16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you
in my prayers:
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge
of Him,
18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you
may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches
of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us
who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
Eph 3:16-19
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory,
to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner
man,
17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you,
being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width
and length and depth and height--
19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you
may be filled with all the fullness of God.
James 4:8
8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
1 Pet 4:1-8
1 ... since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves
also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh
has ceased from sin,
2 that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh
for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
3 For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will
of the Gentiles-- when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness,
revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.
4 In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run
with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you.
5 They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living
and the dead.
6 For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are
dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh,
but live according to God in the spirit.
7 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and
watchful in your prayers.
8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for
"love will cover a multitude of sins."
May God bless
the reading of His Word.
Heb 4:12
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than
any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and
spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart.
