Ps 5:1-3
1 Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
2 Give heed to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for to
You I will pray.
3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning
I will direct it to You, and I will look up.
Ps 116:1-2
1 I love the LORD, because He has heard my voice and my supplications.
2 Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call
upon Him as long as I live.
Ps 2:7
7 The LORD has said to Me, 'You are My Son, today I have begotten
You.
Lam 3:56-58
56 You have heard my voice: "Do not hide Your ear from my sighing,
from my cry for help."
57 You drew near on the day I called on You, and said, "Do not
fear!"
58 O Lord, You have pleaded the case for my soul; you have redeemed
my life.
Ps 9:1-2
1 I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell
of all Your marvelous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your
name, O Most High.
Ps 16:1-11
1 Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
2 O my soul, you have said to the LORD, "You are my Lord, my goodness
is nothing apart from You."
3 As for the saints who are on the earth, "They are the excellent
ones, in whom is all my delight."
4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god
5 O LORD, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; you
maintain my lot.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yes, I have
a good inheritance.
7 I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; my heart also
instructs me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right
hand I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh
also will rest in hope.
10 For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will You allow
Your Holy One to see corruption.
11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness
of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Ps 15:1-2
1 LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your
holy hill?
2 He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks
the truth in his heart;
Ps 17:3
3 You have tested my heart; you have visited me in the night;
you have tried me and have found nothing; I have purposed that
my mouth shall not transgress.
Ps 17:6-8
6 I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; incline
Your ear to me, and hear my speech.
7 Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You
who save those who trust in You from those who rise up against
them.
8 Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of
Your wings,
1 Sam 2:2
2 "No one is holy like the LORD, for there is none besides You,
nor is there any rock like our God.
Ps 18:30-31
30 As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven;
he is a shield to all who trust in Him.
31 For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except
our God?
James 4:8
8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Ps 18:46
46 The LORD lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation
be exalted.
Ps 19:14
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be
acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
Ps 62:5-8
5 My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is
from Him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall
not be moved.
7 In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength,
and my refuge, is in God.
8 Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before
Him; God is a refuge for us.
Ps 23:1-6
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside
the still waters.
3 He restores my soul; he leads me in the paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for You are with me; your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my
life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Ps 24:1-5
The earth is the LORD'S, and all its fullness, the world and those
who dwell therein.
2 For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon
the waters.
3 Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in
His holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted
up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from
the God of his salvation.
Ps 27:11-14
11 Teach me Your way, O LORD, and lead me in a smooth path, because
of my enemies.
12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; for false
witnesses have risen against me, and such as breathe out violence.
13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would
see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14 Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen
your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD!
Ps 68:19
19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the
God of our salvation!
Ps 68:32-35
32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; Oh, sing praises to
the Lord
33 To Him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which were of old!
Indeed, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice.
34 Ascribe strength to God; His strength is in the clouds.
35 O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places.
Ps 69:5-6
5 ... You know my foolishness; and my sins are not hidden from
You.
6 Let not those who wait for You, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed
because of me; let not those who seek You be confounded because
of me, O God of Israel.
Ps 69:16-20
16 Hear me, O LORD, for Your lovingkindness is good; turn to me
according to the multitude of Your tender mercies.
17 And do not hide Your face from Your servant, for I am in trouble;
hear me speedily.
18 Draw near to my soul, and redeem it; deliver me because of
my enemies.
19 You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonor; my adversaries
are all before You.
20 Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness; I
looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters,
but I found none.
Ps 31:14-15
14 ..., I trust in You, O LORD; I say, "You are my God."
15 My times are in Your hand;
Ps 71:5-6
5 ... You are my hope, O Lord GOD; you are my trust from my youth.
6 By You I have been upheld from birth; you are He who took me
out of my mother's womb. My praise shall be continually of You.
Ps 51:1-17
1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness;
according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my
transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my
sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before
me.
4 Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in
Your sight-- that You may be found just when You speak, and blameless
when You judge.
5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother
conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden
part You will make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall
be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones You have broken
may rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit
within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your
Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your
generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall
be converted to You.
14 Deliver me from bloodshed, O God, the God of my salvation,
and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; you
do not delight in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite
heart-- these, O God, You will not despise.
John 14:27
27 "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the
world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid.
John 18:37
37 Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."
Luke 16:19-31
19 "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and
fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.
20 "But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores,
who was laid at his gate,
21 "desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich
man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels
to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
23 "And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and
saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 "Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me,
and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water
and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.'
25 "But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you
received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but
now he is comforted and you are tormented.
26 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great
gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot,
nor can those from there pass to us.'
27 "Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would
send him to my father's house,
28 'for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest
they also come to this place of torment.'
29 "Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let
them hear them.'
30 "And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them
from the dead, they will repent.'
31 "But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets,
neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.'"
Matt 16:24-27
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come
after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow
Me.
25 "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever
loses his life for My sake will find it.
26 "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world,
and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for
his soul?
27 "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with
His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.
Matt 19:17
17 If you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."
Matt 22:36-40
36 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"
37 Jesus said,... " 'You shall love the Lord your God with all
your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
38 "This is the first and great commandment.
39 "And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as
yourself.'
40 "On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
Lam 3:22-26
22 ...the LORD'S mercies...
23 ... are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
24 "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in
Him!"
25 The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who
seeks Him.
26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation
of the LORD.
May God bless the reading
of His Word.
Heb 4:12
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than
any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and
spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart.
