Ps 37:16-26
16 A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.
18 The LORD knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever.
19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 But the wicked shall perish; and the enemies of the LORD, like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away.
21 The wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous shows mercy and gives.
22 For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, but those cursed by Him shall be cut off.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholds him with His hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.
26 He is ever merciful, and lends; and his descendants are blessed.

Ps 116:8,12
8 ... You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
12 What shall I render to the LORD for all His benefits toward me?

Prov 3:27-28
27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so.
28 Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back, and tomorrow I will give it," when you have it with you.

Deut 15:7,8,10-11
7  "If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother,
8  "but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs.
10  "You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.
11  "For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, 'You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.'

Prov 19:17
17 He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, and He will pay back what he has given.

Prov 28:8
8 One who increases his possessions by usury and extortion gathers it for him who will pity the poor.

19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; it takes away the life of its owners.

Mal 3:6-12
6  I am the LORD, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.
7  Yet from the days of your fathers you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you," says the LORD of hosts. "But you said, 'In what way shall we return?'

Luke 21:1-4
1 And Jesus (He) looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury,
2 and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites.
3 So He said, "Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all;
4 "for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had."

Luke 18:10-14
10  "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
11  "The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank You that I am not like other men-- extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.
12  'I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.'
13  "And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!'

Matt 19:16-26,30

23  Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24  "And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
25  When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, "Who then can be saved?"
26  But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
30  "But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

Luke 12:25-34
25  Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
26  "If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?
27  "Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28  "If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?
29  "And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.
30  "For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.
31  "But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

34  "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

2 Cor 9:6-9,15
6  But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
7  So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

1  Blessed is he who considers the poor; the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

7  The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

9  He who has a generous eye will be blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor.

Prov 25:21
21  If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;

Prov 28:27
27  He who gives to the poor will not lack, but he who hides his eyes will have many curses.

Isa 58:6-11
6  "Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?
7  Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?
8  Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.
9  Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.'

Matt 25:35-46

46  "And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Mark 9:41
41  "For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.

Luke 3:11
11  "He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise."

Luke 12:34
34  "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

1 Tim 6:17-19
17  Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

I Jn 3:16-23
