Ps 71:14-18
14 ...I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and
more.
15 My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and Your salvation
all the day, for I do not know their limits.
16 I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention
of Your righteousness, of Yours only.
17 O God, You have taught me from my youth; and to this day I
declare Your wondrous works.
18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake
me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, your power
to everyone who is to come.
Prov 27:17,19
17 As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of
his friend.
19 As in water face reflects face, so a man's heart reveals the
man.
Matt 9:35-38
35 ...Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in
their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing
every sickness and every disease among the people.
36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion
for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having
no shepherd.
37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful,
but the laborers are few.
38 "Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers
into His harvest."
Matt 10:1
1 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave
them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal
all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
Luke 6:27-38,40-42
27 "...I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those
who hate you,
28 "bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully
use you.
29 "To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also.
And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic
either.
30 "Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away
your goods do not ask them back.
31 "And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them
likewise.
32 "But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to
you? For even sinners love those who love them.
33 "And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit
is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
34 "And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back,
what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to
receive as much back.
35 "But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing
in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons
of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.
36 "Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
37 "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you
shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
38 "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down,
shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom.
For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back
to you."
40 "A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly
trained will be like his teacher.
41 "And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but
do not perceive the plank in your own eye?
42 "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me remove
the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the
plank that is in your own eye?...
1 Cor 15:1-11
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached
to you, which also you received and in which you stand,
2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which
I preached to you-- unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received:
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day
according to the Scriptures,
5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once,
of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have
fallen asleep.
7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out
of due time.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be
called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward
me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all,
yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
11 Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you
believed.
2 Cor 2:15-16
15 ... we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are
being saved and among those who are perishing.
16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and
to the other the aroma of life leading to life...
Eph 6:10-20
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power
of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness
of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly
places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able
to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having
put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel
of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be
able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication
for all the saints--
19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open
my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak
boldly, as I ought to speak.
Phil 1:12-30
12 ... I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened
to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel,
13 so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and
to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ;
14 and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident
by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15 Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some
also from good will:
16 The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely,
supposing to add affliction to my chains;
17 but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for
the defense of the gospel.
18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in
truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will
rejoice.
19 For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through
your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
20 according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing
I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also
Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.
21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my
labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.
23 For I am hard pressed between the two, having a desire to depart
and be with Christ, which is far better.
24 Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.
25 And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and
continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith,
26 that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ
by my coming to you again.
27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so
that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your
affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving
together for the faith of the gospel,
28 and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is
to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that
from God.
29 For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only
to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
30 having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear is
in me.
Phil 2:1-5
1 ... if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of
love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,
2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being
of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but
in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but
also for the interests of others.
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
Col 1:9-29
9 ...we ... do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you
may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and
spiritual understanding;
10 that you may have a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing
Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge
of God;
11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power,
for all patience and longsuffering with joy;
12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers
of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed
us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness
of sins.
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all
creation.
16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that
are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions
or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him
and for Him.
17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning,
the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the
preeminence.
19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should
dwell,
20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether
things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through
the blood of His cross.
21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by
wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy,
and blameless, and above reproach in His sight--
23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast,
and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard,
which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I,
Paul, became a minister.
24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh
what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of
His body, which is the church,
25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from
God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,
26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations,
but now has been revealed to His saints.
27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the
glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you,
the hope of glory.
28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in
all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working
which works in me mightily.
Col 2:8-19
8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit,
according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles
of the world, and not according to Christ.
9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;
10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality
and power.
11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made
without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh,
by the circumcision of Christ,
12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with
Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the
dead.
13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision
of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven
you all trespasses,
14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against
us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way,
having nailed it to the cross.
15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public
spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a
festival or a new moon or sabbaths,
17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is
of Christ.
18 Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false
humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which
he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished
and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase
that is from God.
Col 3:1-17
1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which
are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear
with Him in glory.
5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth:
fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness,
which is idolatry.
6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the
sons of disobedience,
7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.
8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath,
malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.
9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man
with his deeds,
10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according
to the image of Him who created him,
11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised,
barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in
all.
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender
mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;
13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone
has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so
you also must do.
14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of
perfection.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also
you were called in one body; and be thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching
and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of
the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
1Thes 2:2-4
2 ...as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the
gospel of God in much conflict.
3 For our exhortation did not come from error or uncleanness,
nor was it in deceit.
4 But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the
gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests
our hearts.
James 5:19-20
19 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone
turns him back,
20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his
way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.
I Jn 4:6
6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God
does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the
spirit of error.
2 Tim 4:6-9,17-18
6 ...the time of my departure is at hand.
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have
kept the faith.
8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day,
and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
9 Be diligent...
17 ...the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the
message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles
might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve
me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever.
Amen!
May God bless the reading
of His Word.
Heb 4:12
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than
any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and
spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart.
